The coop measures approximately 74 inches long, 60 inches wide, and 72.5 inches high, including the nesting box. Its raised design keeps the coop off the ground, helping protect the floor from excess moisture and making it easier to maintain.
Inside, your chickens have plenty of room to settle in. The coop includes five nesting boxes for laying eggs and two roosting bars where chickens can rest at night. The nesting box has a lockable lid, making it easier to collect eggs while adding extra protection for your flock.
Good airflow is important for keeping chickens comfortable. Two screened windows can be opened and closed to bring fresh air inside. The coop also has two upper vents, one on each gable end, to help air move through the structure and reduce moisture buildup.
The ceiling includes radiant barrier sheathing designed to help keep the inside cooler during hot summer weather. Treated resin on the flooring and siding provides added moisture resistance, which is useful in a space where chickens naturally create humidity.
Security is also built into the design. The large man door, chicken door, and nesting box include lockable latches. A treated wood ramp gives chickens easy access to their entrance, while the full-size man door makes it easier for you to enter the coop for cleaning, feeding, and daily care.
The roof is designed so rainwater runs toward the back of the coop and away from the nesting boxes. This helps keep important areas drier during wet weather.
Assembly is simple because much of the work is completed before the coop arrives. The panels and trim are already painted and assembled, the doors and windows are installed, and the nesting boxes are put together. According to OverEZ, the coop can be assembled in less than 60 minutes with a screw gun.
